1Start the bot
- Open t.me/stake_watcher_bot. Telegram shows it as Stake Watcher Bot.
- Press Start. The bot answers "Welcome to Stake Watch!" with a short list of commands.
Talk to it in a private chat. In a group it answers only /status and /forkstatus, so nobody's addresses appear there, and it never sends alerts to a group.
Every new user starts out watching the Divi Treasury and Divi Charity addresses. They get a "Block Payment Received!" message whenever the network pays them. If you don't want those, send /unwatch with each address; /list shows them.
2Watch your address
Send /watch, your staking address, and a name if you like:
/watch D8nQRyfgS5xL7dZDC39i9s41iiCAEeq7Zk Home node
- Mainnet only. The address must start with
D. A testnet address, which starts withy, gets "Invalid address: must start with 'D' (mainnet Divi address)." - Up to 20 addresses each, the two default ones included.
- Past stakes load in the background. The bot replies "Scanning for recent staking history..."; after a few minutes
/historyshows them. - Vaults work. A vault's stake pays an output that names both the owner's and the manager's address, so watching either one catches it.
Watching is read-only. Anyone can watch any address, because every address on the chain is public; the bot cannot move coins.
3The message for a stake
The bot reads every new block. When your address staked it, you get:
Stake Reward Detected! Address: D8nQRy...Eeq7Zk (Home node) Reward: 415.00000000 DIVI Block: 4269943 Transaction: 1a2b3c...7d8e9f
The address, block and transaction are links to Explorer 2.0. The reward is what came back to your address minus what it put in, so it is the reward alone, not the size of the coin that staked. On the day we checked, every one of the five newest mainnet blocks paid its staker exactly 415 DIVI.
4The warning when stakes stop
Every five minutes the bot works out how often each watched address should stake, from its balance and the coins staking on the whole network. When the time since the last stake passes three times that estimate, it sends:
Missed Stake Warning Address: D8nQRy...Eeq7Zk (Home node) Balance: 100000.00000000 DIVI Expected stake every: 17d 17h Time since last stake: 53d 4h (3.0x expected) Your address may have stopped staking. Please check: - Is your wallet running and unlocked for staking? - Is your node fully synced? - Is your balance still available (not locked)?
- A new address with no stake yet gets no warning in its first 24 hours on your list.
- It does not repeat sooner than one estimated interval later.
- Treasury and Charity are never warned about: they are paid, they don't stake.
Three times the estimate is a long wait: an address that is staking normally goes that long without a stake about one time in twenty. For the odds behind any gap, and a quicker "slow" or "overdue" verdict, send /check; Estimate your stakes explains its numbers. To find the cause, work through Why isn't my wallet staking?
5Lottery wins
When a watched address is among a lottery block's winners, you get a separate "馃弳 Lottery Winner!" message with the prize and the block. A prize gets this message instead of the general payment message.
To see every lottery block, whoever won, subscribe once:
/alert lottery_block
Each lottery block then brings a list of all winners grouped by prize, ending with the next lottery block's height. /unalert lottery_block stops it. How the lottery works is in The Divi lottery, and past winners are in Find lottery winners.
6Other commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| /list | Your watched addresses and when each last staked. |
| /history Home node 20 | The last 20 stakes of a watched address, by address or name (10 if you leave out the number, 50 at most). |
| /label D... New name | Names or renames a watched address; with no name it removes the name. |
| /check | Whether staking is on track, for up to three watched addresses, or for one address you give it. |
| /unwatch D... | Stops watching. It needs the full address. |
| /alerts | Your alert subscriptions, such as lottery_block. |
| /status | Whether the bot itself is healthy. |
7What we could not test
- No chat with the live bot. It watches mainnet only, and our test coins are on testnet, so we saw no message arrive. The commands, limits and message texts on this page come from the bot's source code, the same version that runs the live bot. Its logs showed it running and sending stake messages in the three days before we checked.
- The messages above are laid out from that code. The address is the bot's own example, the stake block and amount are real, and the transaction id and the warning's figures are made up to show the format.
Next
- Estimate your stakes: how often to expect a message.
- Why isn't my wallet staking? if the warning arrives.
- Track your staking returns in a spreadsheet.
- Stake on a VPS to stake around the clock.
